Procrastinate – Who Me?

Mark Twain famously said, “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.”  Mark was pro procrastination.  But everybody I know is anti-procrastination.  We beat ourselves up and judge others for not doing the things TODAY that “should” be done TODAY.  It could even be said that, if you procrastinate, you’re not a righteous person, given that the word really gained its first usage as applied to those who dared to put off repenting of their sins.  A little too heavy?  Oh yeah, but think of how much better life would be if only we weren’t so...

Great Results and a Favorite Winter Recipe

Posted by on Jan 10, 2013 in Blog, Nutrition, Recipes | 0 comments

Recently I had some routine blood work done and I was super proud of the results.  Other than some wonky hormones (I am entering menopause afterall), everything is perfect – including my B and D vitamin levels, which are often off for even the most health conscious people. Particularly noteworthy is that the marker for cardiac inflammation was so low they couldn’t even measure it!   So thankful for a healthy diet and exercise routine. I employed a well known business coach who works with wellness professionals, Karin Witzig Rozell.  With her help, along with divine guidance sought through daily meditation and prayer, it became clear that the direction I should take was one that would allow me to meld my skills,...

New Beginnings

So, it’s been awhile since I last posted.  Lots has been going on. I competed in both the Greater Gulf States Championships and Masters Nationals in 2011.  I did very well, including placing 4th at Nationals.  I took the rest of 2011 off from competing and as 2012 came into sight, I began to plan what was next for me. I rather expected that I would do a building program in January and then enter contest prep in April, aiming for the same shows in 2012 as I did in 2011.  Yet life has a way of happening and my plans began to change.  For instance, my daughter had a baby and becoming a...
