What’s More Important?

Whenever I teach persuasion in workshops, I often ask participants, “Do people do things because YOU want them to?”    Ha. Anybody who has kids knows the answer to that.  So, what do you do? Each person has his or her own opinions and will make his or her own choices. You can’t issue commands. “Make it so!”  Don’t we wish?  And don’t we try?  No, people have to want things for themselves.  I’ve been dealing with a family situation lately that brings all this to mind.  Someone I’m very close to has been making choices I don’t...

Procrastinate – Who Me?

Posted by on Jan 28, 2013 in Blog, Coaching | 0 comments

Mark Twain famously said, “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.”  Mark was pro procrastination.  But everybody I know is anti-procrastination.  We beat ourselves up and judge others for not doing the things TODAY that “should” be done TODAY.  It could even be said that, if you procrastinate, you’re not a righteous person, given that the word really gained its first usage as applied to those who dared to put off repenting of their sins.  A little too heavy?  Oh yeah, but think of how much better life would be if only we weren’t so...

Welcome to my new blog!

Posted by on Nov 14, 2012 in Blog, Coaching, Fitness, Nutrition | 0 comments

Welcome to the first post of my reconstituted blog, coinciding with the launch of my new website!  It’s hard to believe how much has happened since I last posted in July.  My focus on studying health and nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition has propelled me towards what’s next for me. I employed a well known business coach who works with wellness professionals, Karin Witzig Rozell.  With her help, along with divine guidance sought through daily meditation and prayer, it became clear that the direction I should take was one that would allow me to meld my skills,...
